Research notes, 1954-1978.

Consists of research notes compiled by Dallett on 19th century Philadelphia artists and craftsmen, ship furniture with some link to Philadelphia, and West Indian and South American iconography. Materials includes hand written extracts from Philadelphia newspapers identifying individuals and their occupations, correspondence relating to Dallett's research topics, and photographs and copies of pages from catalogs depicting the iconographs. In particular, much of the correspondence pertains to a display of Charlotte Bonaparte's cabin on the Ruth & Mary (Ship) held at the Athenaeum and Dallett's efforts to find information on and locate paintings by F.S.G. Melbye and Jacob Pissarro.
